Questions

Good to know.

Where are my notes stored?

On your device. Loom is local first, with no account and no cloud server. You can export a copy at any time, and you can create an encrypted backup file that only your password can open.

Is there a free version?

Loom is a paid app, but the monthly and yearly plans start with a 7 day free trial that unlocks everything. You will not be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel at any time.

How does the encryption work?

Sensitive notes can be protected with AES 256 and a key derived from your password. You can unlock with Face ID or Touch ID. Loom cannot recover your password, which is what keeps your notes private.

Can I bring my existing notes in?
